Sakkarbaug is a 84-hectare (210 acres) zoo which was opened in 1863 in Junagadh, Gujarat, India. The zoo provides pure asiatic lions for purely endangered species for Indian and international endangered species captive breeding program. Asiatic lions are found today only in nearby fallen forests. The Sakkarbaug zoo was established in 1863 by The Mohabbat Khanji Bazar-II of Junagadh State. It is India's second oldest zoo and is India's fourth largest zoo.
